Lisa and Pauls' place encompasses the sophistication and whimsy that comes so naturally to Trish. A bright and airy entrance space showcases a one of a kind hand painted wall finish designed by Trish, painted by Trish and Michael Paulus, who works as Trish' right hand man. With a long and intertwined history, Trish and Michael work together with an unspoken and effortless visual communication. Lets put it this way…they get each other. Their connection is apparent in their work, and is priceless.
"Upon seeing the entry I remember thinking, "these walls will provide endless wonder". I'm a psychologist by training and the Rorschach inkblot test was designed as an interpretation game. Form, color, location, popularity and originality all play into the observer's response. Two years later, I'm still excited that each person we welcome into our home can find their own sense of beauty and meaning in the shapes."
"The juxtaposition between conformity and uniqueness is very cool. It looks like wallpaper from afar, then you zoom in on an area and you could spend 10 minutes staring at one print. It gets increasingly cooler the closer you look, like a forest or a colony of ants."
